At the heart of Aboden Interior Studio is Melina Copp, a designer with almost a decade of interior design experience, now proudly based in Traverse City, Michigan. After earning her degree from the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach, she spent her time immersed in the world of high-end residential design at two renowned firms in Orange County, California. There, she helped bring luxury homes to life from the ground up, guiding projects from initial concepts and onboarding through project management, procurement, and final installation.
After years of designing homes throughout Southern California, Melina brought her coastal sensibility and love of layered, livable spaces to Northern Michigan. With a deep appreciation for storytelling and an innate sense of style, she approaches each space as an opportunity to reflect the people who live there, blending function with feeling, charm with clarity. Her background in logistics means she’s not just a creative—she’s a doer, adept at managing timelines, teams, and all the details that make a project flow smoothly.
